Negative taken of dental advertisment that includes photographs of Dr. David A.E. Johnston, his wife and daughter from the book "How I Succeeded In My Business" by Rev. A.H. Miller published in 1911. Dr. David A.E. Johnston was a dentist in Helena, Phillips County, Arkansas around 1910. He had his office and he lived at 135 1/2 Cherry Street. David A.E. Johnston was born in 1879, the son Professor Lewis and Mercy Johnston. He studied at the Richard Allen Seminary, which his father established under the auspices of the Presbyterina Church, in Pine Bluff, Jefferson County, Arkansas before he completed his course of dentistry at the Chicago Medical School in Chicago, Illinois. He first practiced dentistry in Chicago, then moved to Pine Bluff, then moved to Helena, Phillips County, Arkansas. In 1910, Dr. David A.E. Johnston married Maria Estelle Miller, daughter of Rev. Abraham H. and Eliza Ann Ross Miller of Helena, Arkansas. As of 1911, Maria and David Johnston had one daughter, Mercy Ann Johnston.
